Previously she wrote about lifestyle, culture, personalities and small business with clips in Time magazine, The Philadelphia Inquirer and others before moving on to the tech beat, where she has covered the sector's major movements for more than 10 years. Over the course of her career, she has been a freelancer, staff writer, managing editor, guest commentator for video and radio, session moderator at industry conferences and more, bringing information and perspective to everything from smartphones, smart homes, wearables, voice tech and VR to fashion, food, the performing arts and retail. Her current work is informed both by her professional and personal experiences, having grown up in her family's apparel manufacturing business. Today, she resides in the East Bay near San Francisco with her husband and two cats.
