‘The Devil Wears Prada: The Musical’ Red Carpet Premiere: Lily Collins, Elizabeth Hurley, and More Star Style [Photos]

‘The Devil Wears Prada: The Musical’ premiered tonight at the Dominion Theatre in London, and the red carpet for it brought out actors, music artists, designers, and more. Among the attendees were Lily Collins and Elizabeth Hurley, who both opted for a beige palette — in strikingly different ways.

Lily Collins wore a sparkling off-the-shoulder gown by Vivienne Westwood, made from metallic chainmail. She paired the draped dress with strappy sandals  and glittering earrings. Meanwhile Hurley sparkled in a monarch butterfly-inspired dress by Temperley. Hurley wore the Atlas dress in Tuscan peach, which features an open back and ornate sequin pattern atop sheer fabric. Hurley completed her look with gold platform sandals, dangling gold earrings, and a cross necklace. She was accompanied by her son, Damian, who wore a monochromatic look consisting of a leather coat with a t-shirt, leather pants, and boots.

Designers such as Donatella Versace and Betsey Johnson were also in attendance, and favored metallic ensembles. Versace wore an ornate gold beaded mini dress with knee-high platform boots, while Betsey Johnson wore a voluminous silver dress with a tiered skirt and rhinestone-covered boots, bejeweled fingerless gloves, and rhinestone-dotted tights. She topped her look with a blue feather-trimmed jacket she wore off her shoulders.

Also in attendance were Lady Amelia Windsor and Lady Mary Charteris. Lady Amelia Windsor wore a lace and fishnet paneled slip dress by Sleeping with Jacques that she paired with patent leather black heels, while Lady Mary Charteris wore a double-breasted tweed coat by Giambattista Valli with platforms and a gold envelope clutch.

“The Devil Wears Prada” is adapted from the hit film of the same name. Starring Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway, it was based on Lauren Weisberger’s autobiographical novel. A sequel to the 2006 film is reportedly in the works, with screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna returning.

In the new West End musical, Vanessa Williams stars as editor-in-chief of Runway magazine, Miranda Priestly, while Georgie Buckland plays Hathaway’s role as her assistant, Andy Sachs.
